So.. I made the move!

I took a GIANT leap of faith last night & made the move to my own self-hosted domain. Eek!
Please check it out as I’ve spent all night working on it. There’s still little things to tweak here and there but for the most part, I’m finally happy with it.
I’m just way too excited to share it with you all!

I have exported this blog (mosaicsea.wordpress.com) to my new site. I can either leave everything here as is or delete this… I’m still not sure what I’m going to be doing as of right now.

Anyways – to continue getting posts & updates from me you can follow me on Bloglovin. So be sure to check that out!

My new site & my new baby: MOSAICSEA.COM !

Let me know what you think!!

Exciting Things To Come!

Ever since I began blogging my head has just been “blog blog blog blog blog” constantly. It’s on my mind at work, when I’m eating, when I’m with my boyfriend. Seriously, just all the time.
I’ve loved every second of blogging and being introduced to the whole world of fashion/beauty/lifestyle blogging has been eye opening.

I’ve been brainstorming a whole list of things that I want to do and I can’t wait to share it all with you guys.
I’ve decided to get a lot more serious about this whole adventure. I’m going to work really hard to bring you all quality posts along with quality photos, as photos can make or break your whole blog (that’s how I see it, at least).
I’m currently writing up a schedule for myself, so if there’s anything specific you’d be interested in seeing be sure to let me know! My audience is everything, so whatever you guys want – that’s what I’ll give you! Just be vocal about it 🙂
As much as I love posting daily and I hope to continue to do so, I may have to slow down to every other day. I’d much rather prefer to provide you all with quality, interesting posts that I’ve put more time in effort into rather than “filler” posts just to get something out there that day.
Also, in the (near) future I’m planning on moving my blog from wordpress.com and hosting on BlueHost with WordPress.org so please be sure it follow me on Bloglovin! The link is in my menu bar at the top of the page.

I’ve developed a strong passion for blogging & I’m excited to see what I can do with it.

I would absolutely love all/any feedback on my blog throughout this process as changes will be slowly rolling in. Feedback on posts are always welcome as well!

Loot Vintage Clothing [gimmetheloot.co.uk]

Today the Loot Vintage Clothing website went live!
Loot is a really cool company that will go hand pick Vintage clothing in the streets of Miami, New York City, LA, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, and London. The pieces are sold at a very affordable price so you won’t be breaking the bank just to get a few dresses. I love everything this company stands for, to give you a brief idea here is their “ethics hit list” copied straight from their site:

OUR VINTAGE ETHICS HIT LIST

1. The manufacture quality is a million miles above any high street chain.

2. The pieces are ‘one off’s’ you wont see anyone else in your item EVER.

3. It is essentially ‘recycled clothing’ which gets mother nature on side.

4. The clothing wasn’t produced using child labour or unethical means.

5. It’s cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap, like proper cheap.

I’ve included some pictures of my favorite items from the site. It’s really helpful that they include chest, waist, and length measurements on every article of clothing since standard size measurements aren’t always applicable. Included as well is a “Will fit size __ to __” to give you just a rough idea.

If you’re like me and have a difficult time rummaging around thrift stores to find something unique, then you should check this site out. For me, I have a hard time picturing thrift store clothes on and put together, but having the items hand picked and modeled really makes things so much easier for me. If you see something you like you have to act fast – there’s only one of each!
I can already tell that this is going to be a great resource for me to mix up my wardrobe a bit without spending too much.

You can access all of these clothes & explore around the site for yourself here.

Happy shopping! (:

Alex and Ani: Path Of Life

Today I got my first Alex and Ani bracelet! I’ve wanted one for a while now, so I’m quite excited. I only got one to start off with, but I already know which ones I’m going to get next. I can’t wait to have multiple ones to stack. I think 3 or 4 would be a good amount for me.
I’m not a huge bracelet wearer because I’m quite picky, but these I love. They are simple and they have meaning behind each charm.
Today I bought the Path of Life charm which represents strength, motivation, and knowledge. The next bracelets I want are my zodiac sign, leo, the mermaid, and the skeleton key.

What are your favorite Alex and Ani pieces?!

Fashion Icon: The Olsen Twins

tumblr_mzn1ecv1pw1qza6uyo1_400

Ever since I was a young child, I was inspired by  Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen. I used to tell my hair dresser to “cut my hair like Mary Kate & Ashely”. That was when I was about 6 years old. Now, at the age of 20 (quite soon to be 21, but who’s keeping track?) I still find inspiration in the Olsens.

Not only am I inspired by their fashion since, but also by their power. They’ve left the TV/movie world and have created their own fashion empire with their brands The Row and Elizabeth & James. Their ambition and success is something that I strive to have.
But, back to fashion. What I love about them: They’re classic. They stick to basic pieces, simple monochromatic color schemes, and timeless styles. Big bags. Oversized clothing. Simple makeup. I love it all. I’ve picked out a few images that I believe to incorporate their style that I love.

July Inspiration!

July Inspiration

Instead of making a June Favorites post, I figured I’d look ahead and make a July Inspiration post.
These are things/styles/looks that I am loving right now and hope to incorporate similar items into my wardrobe this month.

Let me know what you think & what you’re looking forward to for July!
