Exciting Things To Come!

Ever since I began blogging my head has just been “blog blog blog blog blog” constantly. It’s on my mind at work, when I’m eating, when I’m with my boyfriend. Seriously, just all the time.
I’ve loved every second of blogging and being introduced to the whole world of fashion/beauty/lifestyle blogging has been eye opening.

I’ve been brainstorming a whole list of things that I want to do and I can’t wait to share it all with you guys.
I’ve decided to get a lot more serious about this whole adventure. I’m going to work really hard to bring you all quality posts along with quality photos, as photos can make or break your whole blog (that’s how I see it, at least).
I’m currently writing up a schedule for myself, so if there’s anything specific you’d be interested in seeing be sure to let me know! My audience is everything, so whatever you guys want – that’s what I’ll give you! Just be vocal about it 🙂
As much as I love posting daily and I hope to continue to do so, I may have to slow down to every other day. I’d much rather prefer to provide you all with quality, interesting posts that I’ve put more time in effort into rather than “filler” posts just to get something out there that day.
Also, in the (near) future I’m planning on moving my blog from and hosting on BlueHost with so please be sure it follow me on Bloglovin! The link is in my menu bar at the top of the page.

I’ve developed a strong passion for blogging & I’m excited to see what I can do with it.

I would absolutely love all/any feedback on my blog throughout this process as changes will be slowly rolling in. Feedback on posts are always welcome as well!

Loot Vintage Clothing []

Today the Loot Vintage Clothing website went live!
Loot is a really cool company that will go hand pick Vintage clothing in the streets of Miami, New York City, LA, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, and London. The pieces are sold at a very affordable price so you won’t be breaking the bank just to get a few dresses. I love everything this company stands for, to give you a brief idea here is their “ethics hit list” copied straight from their site:

1. The manufacture quality is a million miles above any high street chain.

2. The pieces are ‘one off’s’ you wont see anyone else in your item EVER.

3. It is essentially ‘recycled clothing’ which gets mother nature on side.

4. The clothing wasn’t produced using child labour or unethical means.

5. It’s cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap, like proper cheap.

I’ve included some pictures of my favorite items from the site. It’s really helpful that they include chest, waist, and length measurements on every article of clothing since standard size measurements aren’t always applicable. Included as well is a “Will fit size __ to __” to give you just a rough idea.

If you’re like me and have a difficult time rummaging around thrift stores to find something unique, then you should check this site out. For me, I have a hard time picturing thrift store clothes on and put together, but having the items hand picked and modeled really makes things so much easier for me. If you see something you like you have to act fast – there’s only one of each!
I can already tell that this is going to be a great resource for me to mix up my wardrobe a bit without spending too much.

You can access all of these clothes & explore around the site for yourself here.

Happy shopping! (:

Alex and Ani: Path Of Life

Today I got my first Alex and Ani bracelet! I’ve wanted one for a while now, so I’m quite excited. I only got one to start off with, but I already know which ones I’m going to get next. I can’t wait to have multiple ones to stack. I think 3 or 4 would be a good amount for me.
I’m not a huge bracelet wearer because I’m quite picky, but these I love. They are simple and they have meaning behind each charm.
Today I bought the Path of Life charm which represents strength, motivation, and knowledge. The next bracelets I want are my zodiac sign, leo, the mermaid, and the skeleton key.

What are your favorite Alex and Ani pieces?!

Kayla Itsines BBG Week Two!

Two weeks done already (:

This week, overall, went better than the first week. Well, fitness wise it did at least. Eating was not so great again, but it was a holiday weekend and we were out of town, so that’s my excuse (which still shouldn’t really even count). I worked out with my sister all week. I’d do circuit one while she would do circuit two and then we’d just switch. It worked out really nicely & provided me with the motivation I needed to complete the circuits a few times. A workout partner is a wonderful, wonderful thing to have.

Monday was legs & cardio day. The circuit I think was easier than the legs & cardio day from week one, but this could very well be due to the fact that I may be getting slightly stronger already. Jumping lunges, skipping, and raised reverse lunges were introduced. Skipping was killer. Ugh, it just hurt so bad especially my calfs. Jumping lunges were also possibly a form of torture. But I got through it. It actually felt really great to push my body and to complete the circuits. I could tell I was really going to benefit from this day.

Wednesday was arms and abs.  Commandos were the new thing here. Just, awful. Just so so awful. It hurt so bad. But I did it! If those didn’t make me stronger then I don’t know what ever will. If you are unfamiliar, as I was, with a commando the best way that I can describe it as is a push up starting in a plank position but rather than using both hands, you use one hand at a time to get up. Not fun, but really effective.

Friday was an optional all body work out, which of course we did. It included most of our new workouts, the skipping, the jump lunges, and the commandos. I could tell that the skipping was a lot easier to get through the second time around after having done it on Monday. The commandos did not get better, but I’m hopeful that by the next time I run into them I will have an easier time. I could tell on the lay down push ups that we did on Friday that my arms were getting stronger because I was able to have a better posture and my back didn’t curve as much as it had used to – so that was a great feeling!

For my LISS this week I did the elliptical Tuesday for 35 minutes.
Thursday we were at the lake so my sister & I paddle boated for 30 minutes which is more of a workout than you think it would be.
Saturday we walked all around the city of Springfield & the museum for the entire day, so we sorta cheated and counted that as our LISS.

At the end of week two I am feeling pretty great. I don’t know if my body has really changed too much yet, but I think that just because I am working out everyday I feel more confident about myself. Like, even if the changes aren’t there yet I personally feel just a tad bit stronger and I know I’m well on my way and things will only get better. Feeling more confident makes my whole mood increase.

Week 3 circuits are a repeat of week 1 circuits so I’m looking forward to seeing the difference in how easy/hard the workouts are to complete compared to the very beginning. I’m hoping to feel some clear strength improvements. I’ll keep you updated of course (:

Thanks for reading & following along with me on my fitness journey!

Fashion Icon: The Olsen Twins

Ever since I was a young child, I was inspired by  Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen. I used to tell my hair dresser to “cut my hair like Mary Kate & Ashely”. That was when I was about 6 years old. Now, at the age of 20 (quite soon to be 21, but who’s keeping track?) I still find inspiration in the Olsens.

Not only am I inspired by their fashion since, but also by their power. They’ve left the TV/movie world and have created their own fashion empire with their brands The Row and Elizabeth & James. Their ambition and success is something that I strive to have.
But, back to fashion. What I love about them: They’re classic. They stick to basic pieces, simple monochromatic color schemes, and timeless styles. Big bags. Oversized clothing. Simple makeup. I love it all. I’ve picked out a few images that I believe to incorporate their style that I love.
